NATIONAL PARC SERRA DA ESTRELA

Quinta das Corujas - Center for Movement and Awareness is situated in the Vale do Mondego in the Serra da Estrela, the largest nature reserve of
Portugal, comprising of approx. 100.000 hectares. It features in all travel
guides and is visited throughout the year. At the centre of the Serra da
Estrela lies the so-called Torre, at
2000 meters the highest point of Portugal and known for its ski slopes.
The peace and quiet of the region, the abundance of water, vibrant nature, the rare species of fauna and flora and authentic farms and villages make the region attractive to both nature and culture lovers.There are routes for walkers, hikers, bikers and horse riders following the caminha antigua and/or the caminha romana leaving directly from the domain.
